Agilent Expands 5975 Line With New GC/MS
Agilent Technologies expanded its 5975 instrument line with the 5975B series
gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer. It is fully compatible with Agilent's
7683 automated liquid sampler and CTC Analytics' CombiPAL and GC PAL
automated sample injectors. Functional improvements to the GC/MS ChemStation
software enable increased speed and efficiency. Deconvolution Reporting
Software reduces the time required for data analysis to minutes with new
retention time locked databases. The inert MSD Synchronous SIM/Scan with
automated setup combines both into a single acquisition. The new SemiQuant
feature provides a simplified way to estimate concentration of compounds in
samples. Reliability is significantly enhanced by an oil-free pump that is
virtually noise and maintenance free. The standard ionization source
performs both chemical ionization and electron impact ionization.

Live-Cell Imaging with Precise

Evotec's Climate Control Opera precisely maintains temperature, CO2 and
humidity levels. A chamber enclosing the entire plate receptacle and lens
area eliminates temperature gradients that could arise from contact with

Online Cell Monitoring
The Bionas 2500 is a bench-top instrument that can simultaneously measure
metabolic parameters (e.g., acidification, oxygen consumption, and adhesion)
of living cells for predictive safety pharmacology studies. An endpoint
